So even though the graphics look like the best this generation has to offer BAR NONE... you're gonna get it in the bargain bin because it's not native 1080p? Just for that?

This is great news because I believe I have a solution to your dilemma. Get the game, take a sharpe marker, and do a little black out work. Additionally, you can put some white out over the sharpee mark and write '1080p'.

There you go, now it's in 1080p and you won't be able to tell the difference. Problem solved

Actually I can tell the difference. My 60" tv aside, I could tell the difference on a computer monitor. I knew right away when I played Halo 3 that there was no way it was 720p and I was right on that one, too.

And yes, I'll get it in the bargain bin. I would have gotten it day one if we weren't promised 1080p@60 for all these years, but the promise was broken so I'm not purchasing it. Also, GOW isn't all that exciting for me anyway. I bought the collection and it was the first time I played both games. If I can wait that long to play them, then I can wait another couple of years to play 3.

what does the game running on 1080p or not got anything to do with the topic which is GOW3 Ultimate edition giving trouble to retailers? also does this mean you will not purchase any PS3 game unless it runs at 1080p and 60fps? Either way, I am sure you can stop derailing the thread and if it is such a big issue, you can start your own thread about your 1080p, 60fps principles.

OT: anyone know if any stores will be getting anymore Ultimate Editions in or if there will be any other Limited or Collectors Editions? and why is there no UK release date for the collection?!
