@ kowen: why do you say it seems demand is being met?

With the Wii a while back (when I purchased one), the demand wasn't being met, despite them selling huge numbers each week, merely because every wii was sold the second it hit the shelf. Now that the PS3 might have the same problem, it's suddenly "meeting demand"? I can't see where you would draw that conclusion for it? The fact that plenty of stores sell out immediately or that only a few manage to hold on to a few units, means there's more demand than stock.

Whether it's because of increased demand or just low shipments, remains to be seen, but to state it's just meeting demands seems odd
