Its a major devolution of the Wii mote concept and not the other way around. You can't rest the Arc on your knee and use small motions because the idiots at Sony thought 1:1 pointing motions will be cool. So try playing any game like Resident evil 4 on the Wii with your arm raised for the whole time and see how that feels, do it for about 3 hours because core games like to play for long periods right? I dare you to go do it right now and then come back to me and say that everything is cool and you'll love the new interface. The IR camera in the Wiimote is better because you can use it resting on your knee and small rotations of your hand have greater effects. See Nintendo are smarter than people give them credit for and even with over 5 years to look at the technology Sony still can't get it right. So in short Arc = useless for core games, it'd be pretty cool for minigames and games which you play for like 30 mins and put away.

youve summed up the wii perfectly, thats the reason its so successful, it has games that are just casual 30mins put away.
but i think your wrong, core games can have motion controls we will see plenty of them at e3 on arc and natal.
