Sony is tightening down costs for the PS3- a report on the blu ray diode

I haven't found any info on how much those diodes cost before... I assume that they didn't go from $108 to $8 though, so I think this won't be enough for a $100 price cut, which will take a few more developments...

 And that's assuming that Sony is willing to take the same loss per console they're taking now, which is not a given...

 I wonder why those analysts are always saying that a price cut is coming almost for sure this year, while never giving any particularly strong reasons for it...
