Yeah not looking good for Blu Ray at the mo.
People need to remember that it couldnt have launched at a worse time. A worldwide recession that is expected to have repercusions for another 2 years at least is pretty bad luck.
But the numbers dont lie, the year appears to have been one of wasted chances.
I think the industry is going to have to play dirty and start delaying release of DVD's and dumbing down content in order to establish Blu Ray as a premium product.
Getting costs down wouldnt be a bad idea DVD's in the UK average 7 GBP, Blu Ray's average 20 GBP. People notice that kind of a difference.
Oh and while Im at, How about some adverts for Blu Ray in the UK. Most people dont even know what it is !
