Precisely what I'm concerned about. Good graphics and great controls will only get you so far if the gameplay is repetitive and boring.

I'm also worried about the length and lasting appeal of the game. I can't see Red Steel 2 lasting very long (5-6 hours), and unless there's a bunch of cool stuff after the game, I doubt there will be much replay value for it. We'll see how it turns out, though.
