I don't think it's been posted yet but vgchartz.com's Mass Effect sales number has been a topic in Bioware's offical forums, and apperantly this has motivated a response from Jarett Lee their Marketing Manger. Here is what he had to say:
" Through official channels the current sales quantity (which I can't share, so don't ask 
) is considerably better. Not sure about vgchartz's methodology."
