As much as I love first person shooters, especially WW2, I just feel that we have played every battle there is to play. Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, Brothers in Arms, Battlefield 1942 and the other 100 that I could not be bothered to list. Many of us have at least played 2 or 3 different games which feature the same towns, same places, pretty forests and the like. With Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Comany 2, Ghost Recon 2 as well Crysis 2 shifting battle onto the "Digital Battlefield", I personally feel that I would not go back and buy another WWII FPS set in Europe though a would not mind a change of scenry, lets say Korea. CoD WaW tried a new angle, yet it felt too recycled.

Does anyone agree with me here?

How did World at War try a new angle? I've only played half of it, but I saw nothing new whatsoever. It was extremely generic.

That said I love WW2. The latest Wolfenstein was awesome and I can't wait to play more shooters set in that era.

Pacific and Russian campaign

A Russian campaign is not new in CoD though. At least CoD 2 had a Russian campaign.

Slightly newer...

What do you mean?

I'm trying to be nice to it
