War w/ Iran is not needed. Action by Shabak is. If the DoD is given the green light for an Iranian offensive it would be over in less than a day. Raptors and Spirits are very, VERY accurate. It would be similar to Desert Storm but on an area of greater scale. Blowback would be fierce and hard with some shit hitting the fan in OIF and OEF by the Quds. After that, I would expect regime change (it is overdue). Ops would be non-nuclear but would include MOAB. That 1 would scare the shit out of the average guy @ Bushrer, Natanz, and the other sites if he survived and was not inside the radius.
