Well the problem is that Red Steel 1 (placed in modern day Tokyo) isn't even in the same universe as Red Steel 2 (Random East meets West desert town). So the only thing that remains the same is the name and the swordplay/gunplay (and the latter is massively improved upon).
Still, the original had its moments. The best part of that game is the Gaming District area. Now that was a trippy (and totally awesome) level.
Other than that, the game is nothing special. Still it's one of the few Wii FPS that offers local splitscreen, so I have to give it some Smeags Points for that one.

Yep, the game looks (and it looks like it plays) great. I'm definitely stoked for this one. Put me on the hype list!
