The PS2 has shipped 140 million units. If it managed to sell enough to get over 150 million sales this year, then it would be ahead of Xbox 360 and PS3 in terms of annual sales. Highly unlikely.
The Wii has currently SOLD over 67 million units after just over 3 years and is coming off of record smashing sales and it will very soon pass 70 million. It took the PS2 a year longer (over 4 years from launch) to hit the 70 million mark.
In addition, during the same period in the PS2's life, without supply constraints, NPD reported it sold 440,000 in the month of January, which is behind the Wii's January NPD sales at 465K WITH supply constraints.
Also, DS will pass the PS2 in 2010. It is selling almost as well as the Wii currently and can do 20-25 million this year which would put it way ahead.
