It didn't flop on the Wii, and I bought it and I am not disappointed a bit.
It's one of the best games on Wii, and If your a true "hardcore" fighting fan like you claim to be you shouldn't have any problem buying this game on the Wii.

it sold only 139,000-units in 2 weeks that's a flop/failure. just because im a street fighter fan doesnt mean i have to buy the nintendo wii's version. when i buy a street fighter/any game i want the full experience. out of the 139,000 people who bought it how many of them are actually playing it online? how many of them are even familiar to street fighter/tatsunoko and didnt just buy it randomly cause of the commcercial? ill tell you this; ill definitely be getting the ps3 version and playing online against others. ill support tatsunoko vs. capcom but on the psn not wii. psn/xbl is a better market than wii, more people will buy it and play it online thus giving the full street fighter cross vs. experience

You can play the imaginary PS3 version. I'll play the real Wii version against real people online because my tastes are dictated by games and not consoles.

tatsunoko vs. capcom is made on the exact same engine as marvel vs. capcom 2, so why is it capcom can port marvel vs. capcom 2 on xbl and psn but not tatsunoko? capcom only (which they stated) released tatsunoko vs. capcom on the wii since the hd consoles got street fighter 4 and marvel vs. capcom 2. that whole talk of tatsunoko vs. capcom being made specifically for the "wii-based arcade" is a bunch of bull to intrigue people into buying it. so you can play with the 10 people on the wii, while ill play with the hundres of thousands on the psn who can bring a challenge

Oh my.

I was going to ask you for proof of all of those claims, but when you claimed that the Wii arcade board was a myth...well...I can see that you have a serious problem with accepting reality. So I'm not expecting you to back any of that up. Seems to be a lot of wishful thinking and delusions fueling this tirade. There's no point.

Claude I am disappointed in you that you missed the biggest LOL in his statement (in green)

I busted a gut at that one... yeah... uhm TvC is NOT the MvC2 engine... not by a long shot... I mean its a 2D art game vs 3D character models... you're really not informed on the game so I'll put it like this.

100k sales for a vs series game is not a flop the series isn't as popular as the main Street Fighter series, its like being upset that darkstalkers didn't sell as well as Street Fighter, it really doesn't make sense.

Capcom has said they aren't porting TvC but said it's not out of the question that the next game in the TvC series could go multiplat.

Flops aren't dictated by you so stop trying, it's over used, and apparently no one understands the meaning of the term.  (You can safely call a game a flop when it doesn't make money for the developer/publisher and when they come out and say they're unhappy with sales, see Bionic Commando or Dead Space Extraction)

And no Capcom didn't cheat Japanese gamers, the original game wasn't as balanced, lacked online, and lacked the characters of the new version.  They probably should have charged less since the game has been out for over a year there it's no different than Star Wars TFU Sith Edition or Super Street Fighter IV.

One more thing the worldwide release of TvC basically outsold the original Japanese version pretty much week one, if you combine sales they're at around 240k sales, the average Wii game (built from the ground up) breaks even around 200k to 250k and thats when the game isn't a 2D fighter which are significantly cheaper to develop because you don't have to build as many assets or as much content.
