jlauro said: As others have said it's basically like you tube, but higher quality. You can have 1 (or more if you pay for more) DVD at a time, and you can stream one movie at a time from the internet at the same time you have a DVD. If you have two devices, generally only one can stream a time. You can stop a movie and change to a different one, but you can't play two at a time (ie: two windows open) as it keeps count and only lets each account stream one at a time. |
but if you watch shows on different computers(one each) on the same account, it will let you do that.
i tried it before, and it works, only thing is my internet sucks and can only handle one show at a time without lagging.
EDIT: now for some more netflix details, if you stop watching a show partway through, it'll remember, and start up where you left off when you try to watch it again. i'm guessing it will work on the wii like it does in the blue-ray player in our living room. you reallt have to goto the website on a computer, and find shows and movies to add to your instant queue, which you can access on the blue-pray player. theres no way to search for and find movies, other then looking at popular ones in vaqrious genres.
also, their streaming selection is still limited right now (theres some good stuff on it, but theres a ton of stuff missing, like a lot of less popular or older shows and movies.
come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=76669&page=1
you can view a few screenshots from the game in my photo album here; http://www.vgchartz.com/photos/album.php?album=2312
