The guys on IGN talked to some "insiders" (sure) about the rumors of a new portable from Nintendo.
The easy guess, and the natural evolution, is stronger hardware capabilities. Nvidia went on the record about its low-power mobile chipset called Tegra, but insiders leaked that the company was in discussion to provide the chipset for the "next generation DS." This chipset is powerful and far more capable than the current DS hardware, and for 3D experiences it's pretty top notch.
Shame that this is probably not happening. At least according to developers I've talked to.¨
