Possibly. I can't see any party screwing up THAT bad though. Schools still run, yes. Although they could be a lot better. Hospitals are still open, but are actually terribly run. There will always be Firemen... Possibly. But then again... They might do an excellent job if they stood by at least a majority of the policies they have. But as i said they lack the experience so things wouldnt all be "perfect". How do you know they don't plan to do it? It's unfair saying that they are lieing just because you don't agree with the party itself. If they say they will do something, or want something, you have no reason to say they don't without proof. How do you know they wont for example, pull the troops out of the Middle East, or even get more Police back on the streets? |
I'm not saying that they're lying because I don't agree with the party, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying they don't plan on carrying it through, their policies are just empty ear candy. Fair enough all politicians do it, but the BNP do it a lot, a lot more than most.
Let me put it this way. If I were running for prime minister and I told you that I was to put a policeman on every street corner, open more hospitals and schools and make them the best in the world, stop all crime full stop and keep the streets clean in every neighbourhood, would you vote for me?
If you were to vote for me based on those you would be a fool, I am in no way going to follow through on those. They are too unrealistic and to do one I would probably have to cancel all of the others. I'm just telling you what you want to hear. It's exactly what the BNP are doing in order to become more powerful.
All parties have empty promises like that, Labour, Conservatives, Lib dems. They all tell you what you want to hear. However, you can generally see some consistent thought pattern in their policies that show they have serious plans behind the ear candy. I didn't see this at all when reading the BNP's policies, I couldn't see a thought pattern outside of "Immigrants are the problem", which seemed to be the only part of their policies that were consistent. Most of what they said just switched seemingly at random.
They may well pull out of Afghanistan or put more police on the streets, but I don't think they would pull it off anywhere near as well as they would like you to think they would and they know it.
