I just noticed the old guy is wearing a shirt that says "I am a mother fucker", who on earth wears a shirt that says that?
Anyway as for the whole spit shining shoes thing, it's obvious from the conversation that the young guy brought it up before the video was started. The old guy was the one who carried it on though.
Also, I think it's worth mentioning that another video of this argument has made it onto Youtube, where they young guy confronts the old guy on the street just after he gets off. The old guy goes a bit crazy after the young guys puts his fists up and makes the notions for a fight. Unsurprisingly when the old guy goes a bit crazy, the young guy goes from acting tough to disappearing off into the crowd and the old guy just looks a bit foolish standing in the middle of the street, screaming and swearing.
