@ averyblund So mass effect 2 is not too hot after all hey, or should i say a bit over stretched? Well hopefully they won't drive another good franchise into the ground, its a sad industry trend nowadays unfortunately. And you're right, quality over length any day but i have to say that replayability is also an important sign of quality especially in terms of value for money ;)

Just to clarify- Mass Effect 2 is awesome and the planet scanning is pretty much my only complaint. Luckily its not required, but it is pretty strongly advised that do a little if you want the best endings or the best gear. It was a stupid idea but I forgive it because the rest of the game is just amazing, and this from somebody who thought ME1 was fun but unremarkable. ME2 has been my biggest surprise thus far this year. Unlike Bioshock 2 which I just finally suffered through a few hours ago- boring repetitive combat, uninspired story, weaker art (than BS1), and terrible multiplayer coupled with an aging engine make it vastly less enjoyable to me than the first. They even have their own form of planet scanning with the neverending little sister harvesting where enemies seemingly come out of nowhere (dead ends). Oh and did I mention the enemy variety is super weak? Personally I thought it was a mediocre FPS with some so-so RPG elements tacked on. Sadly most of the plasmids and tonics are pretty useless. The only good thing I can say is that it is short. And yes I know I'm in the minority on this one. Sorry for the OT rant.
