Now that we've got S&K out of the way, we need Sega/M2 to finally announce SegaCD/32X support for VC and we can finally get all the 2D console Sonics in one place.

They'll have issues with file size on MegaCD games, but they have no excuses for 32X. Do you know if they have worked on 32X emulation officially before?

They can just use compression for audio/video files like with TGCD on VC.  Actual game content filesizes for Sega CD games are tiny, and well within the usual parameters.

If they can get Ys I&II on VC, they can get Sonic CD, Lunar, etc.

They'd have to get it down to ~45MB which seems to be the upper limit. But if Capcom can get RE2 onto N64, I'm sure they can manage it.

The limit isn't a hardware restriction though, it's just self-imposed by Nintendo. Technically they could go up to 256MB, or larger if they ever open SD-access (unlikely though).

As time goes on, I expect we'll probably start seeing larger titles... Japan just got Ogre Battle 64 and that's already 48MB.
