it is overall yes (it had 1yr head start and i dont know how they counted rrod replaced 360s) but as of late specifically slim launch ps3 managed to outsell it by 101k which is a fact according to npd numbers i see ps3 outselling the 360 at least 4 months out of the next 7 months going by npd

also just look at ur vgc numbers there pretty close to each other ps3 had some shortages sometime since slim launch either in october or in december or both and theres also a 360 sku 100$ less than the slim

i also brought it up b/c since slim launch its kind a of a fair battle 300$ elite vs 300$ slim both with 120gb HDDs but the elite came with 2 games would be nice if we could know how many 120gb slims were sold vs how many elites were sold in this time period

wait... you actually said that they are close is positive for the PS3? So after a MAJOR price-cut, a redesign of the console and a all-new and big marketing campaign being close to the 2nd place is good?
