Hate to say it, but NMH2 is not showing to have legs. The original eased from 36k to 26k in NA from wk 1 to wk2 and slowly dropped from there. NMH2 dropped from 41k to 14k.
Not sure if that suggests the M market is dead on Wii, if NMH2 just can't hold up against the stiffer competition this time, or if it's another case of Wii owners just being content with the original and not feeling any need to buy a sequel. Or perhaps a combination. Not optimistic about NHM2 being a profitable series.

I think it's competition, myself. I remember there was quite a bit of hype in the media at large for the original, which doubtless helped promote the game more than Ubisoft bothered to at the time. This time, the hype was with Tatsunoko vs Capcom in the mainstream gaming media, as well as within the Nintendo community, to speak nothing of the hype for Mass Effect 2 and MAG at the same time as well.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
