In the case of anyone who blindly thinks the PS3 beats the 360, I think that it is partially down to all the promises Sony have made (both in their general PR, and with the original Killzone 2 trailer), and the fact that they finally have graphical showcases that go beyond the competition.
Uncharted 2 is the most advanced console game currently on the market when you speak graphics technology, and that's a fact.
But I still think the PS3 and 360 are about equal. It's all about harnessing the power available, and Sony is putting more effort into it than Microsoft are. But that's about all I can say about the graphical differences, partly because a) I don't own a 360, but mostly because b) I boycott the games I look forward too, including most of these graphical juggernauts.
I don't know how Heavy Rain looks right now. I don't know how God of War 3, Alan Wake or Fable 3 look in motion, and I've only seen the screenshots used for news posts.
