Wasn't it mentioned on here that the PS3 slim just recently started to break even on each unit (or at least they are close to doing so?) If so, that must mean the 360 Elite is pretty profitable (no Blu-Ray drive, no Cell, no Wi-Fi, you get the idea) right now. That suggests that an Elite price cut to $250 soon maybe wouldn't be out of the question. But with the rumor being that NATAL will be bundled with the 360, I don't think a price cut will happen. They'll just slot in NATAL with the Elite Sku and that's it. As for the PS3, there's no point in them cutting the price right now even if they reached the break even point. Both MS and Sony have the third-party support they need so it just doesn't make any sense to forego profits for more marketshare. Building market share is important in the beginning and when you don't have the third-party support. (if you want to see what happens when you don't win over third-party support right away... look at N64, PS3 or pre-DS Lite DS when it was getting its ass kicked by PSP in NA at the beginning) But if you do, there's no point aside from winning a e-peen console war for fanboys on internet forums.
