Wii sales to slump

if you went to the store and they were out of milk would you just buy soy milk?

if you went to the store and they were out of ipods would you just buy a zune?

if you went to the car dealer and they were out of corolia would you just buy a land cruiser?

 

personally i wouldn't, i know what i want and that's exactly what i would buy.   i just don't get how people can really believe that someone would go to a store and say to themselves, "Geez, I would really like a Wii but I can't find one so I guess I'll just buy a 360/ps3 instead even though it costs more and isn't what I wanted to get."

Well played. The only people who would opt for a different console if they couldn't find a Wii would be a parent doing christmas shopping. However, ironically, this is the demographic least likely to purchase an expensive console such as a 360 or PS3. So this basically negates itself.
