Anyway congrats MH3! This game went for me from a "not interested in this type of game" attitude to a "can't wait", around the time Wii Speak was confirmed for the game I think.

How about the numerous Street Fighter games in Japan? Dragon Quest? Final Fantasy?

There are probably over 25 million selling Japan-only games on the SNES alone...

Dragon Quest 3 I think sold like... 3-4 million in Japan....

on the NES.

 

Also did a million on the SNES when re-released.
