They do already, but it's set up in a way that's.......not to my liking.

Basically each "world" (there are 5 in the game), the majority of the monsters all have similar strengths and weaknesses. Thus, "oh hey I'm in world 2, everyone here is weak against magic....equid X item".

Their resistances also aren't even that great, sure it helps to use a weapon they're weak against, but using other weapons are still viable, it just takes 4 hits instead of 2.

I would like there to be "I am of X build, there are monsters out there that are immune to me, so I either need to invest some points into making Y attack type better (or find items that do so) or I need to co-op"

Just an idea, maybe not immunities, but I would like for there to be *larger* reasons to change up my equipment.  After a certain point I just used the same weapons, equipment and tactics for 90% of all monsters.

Wow, that's weak then. They really need to fix it for the sequel. Enemy resistance to certain damage is important in RPGs, or else like u say there's no motive to switch gear.
