I think its mostly the PS3 that is short. I think that situation will improve by the time DA-2 comes out though.
Going back to the previous topic, about the 500k... well yes, we are saying the same thing. However what I am trying to say is the timing makes it extremely unlikely that those 2010 shipments are "retail box" shipments, because thats not how retail typically operates. However that is how DD operates... sales are reported and royalties paid on a schedule. There is a good chance the updated figure represents sales/royalty reports for say, the months of December and January. Not that I know exactly what that schedule is, but I do know after launch week reports it is at least monthly or bi-monthy, sometimes tri-monthly. I only know for sure in regards to some small devs/pblishers though (which are bi or tri), so who knows what deal EA has worked with Steam/Impulse/etc.
Because I do think EA is including DD sales in the "shipped" numbers. It just so happens that for DD e-tailers, a "shipped" copy is also a "sold" copy. Sell-through is 100% on DD
