Raze said: I dont think so, its about halfway there in 4 years, and while the buzz is still strong, I cant see it selling equal amounts in the next 4. I expect the next gen systems to release before the next 4 years have passed. WIth Natal and Arc, PS3/360 owners will at least have a "good enough" reason to keep from adding a Wii to their collection. I don't think there's as many coconuts to shake out of the tree as there were for the past 4 years.

It's actually only been just over 3 years, or about 40 months. It basically has sold roughly half the PS2's numbers in well under less than half its life. So it should be on pace to outsell it.

I think Wii should easilly have another 3 years of strong sales (maybe another 50-55 million during that time), and probably another 3 years after that of decent sales (20-30 million). It could very well make it to 150-160 million when it's finally stopped selling, provided Nintendo doesn't permaturely cut the lifespan of the Wii short. So I think it will just barely edge out the PS2.

In short, Nintendo has plenty of coconuts.
