My estimate is $25 million based on 4 years of development by a team of 60 people on average (Quantic Dream). Their team size has varied between 40-80 people in the last few years.
So, $25 million dev cost (not including marketing expenses, which certainly is at least another $5-10 mill) means Heavy Rain needs to sell well over 1 million copies to break even.

Your right, but I didn't want to go outside of the regular calculation formula cause people would say I overexaggerate the costs of a PS3 game.
