I think the future of consoles lies in 3-D and not in motion controls. I feel that way because the point and click feature of motion controls of some wii games is like the game is playing you and not the other way around. I like total control in my games and I cannot see this as the future for most hard core gamers like myself. I will say that I think most new consoles will start gravitating towards mouse like controls for the new consoles. This generation that frag fx has given me more control over my aiming then any other console control setup currently available. Frag FX gives "real" 1:1 accuracy and though I have not used the arc or natal yet, I believe that they will not give you that much accuracy with out auto assist or lag.
