I bought the first part some weeks ago.

I loved the game. It was like the first RE parts it was never that scary but atleast it had a dark atmosphere and it had its own feeling which no game has. With RE 5 for example they pretty much destroyed the legacy of RE 4 imo.

Ok hopefully the gold edition will make up for this and atleast try to be scary.

Silent Hill 5 was just not Silent Hill. I wasnt that scared. It had its heights but I missed something. The fear factor in SH was normally subliminal and not so clearly presented.

Infact SH 1 2 3 and even 4 where the only games which scared me. I really felt something which never happens normally. The scene with the mirror in SH3 was brilliant. Or the lift scene in SH 2. Or SH1 the music the movie was able to transport the Sh feeling perfectly. But human enemies comeon thats just not it.

SH5 was atleast the best attempt of Survival Horror on the HD consoles so far. Then I played Dead Space 1. I wasnt really scared that much but the story was great and I had the typical survival horror feeling. Even though the others talked to much. It has to be a relief to hear a human voice and not a constant thing which guides you through the game.

The fear factor is on RE 1-4 level.

I loved the game from the beginnig. Because the theme the atmosphere and the story was great. After I finished the game I immediatly searched in the Web over DS 2 information I found this Facebook site made by the developers were you can say what you wish for DS2. But I also found some not so good news.

Infact what I read was shocking it made me angry somehow. They said that DS 2 will be more action and less fear because most of the people couldnt play the game longer then 30 Minutes without making a break because they were scared. I smell BS they just want to find a new formula to make the game selling more. Which is understandable but I think its the wrong way. The followers in the Software.buisness are barely as succesful as the innovators. The game needs to be more different and not more of the same. DS 1 was still to standard. Look at the mayor break throughs all of them (ok most of them) made something new and are unique in their own way. Gameplay mechanics are copied but the point is to give the game its own indistinguishable shape.

They will make the game more action orientated and less scary. Infact they should do the opposite more scary. And less action.

I really HATE the taste of the masses when it comes to Survival horror.

I wasnt impressed by the demo so I havent cared about it because I tought its just the usual TPS.

If its no survival horror game anymore I hope it will sell less or atleast not more then the original game. I wished the original game would have sold more.

Maybe I end up liking it but probably not as a survival horror game. Same goes for RE 5 and SH 5 they are good games but bad Resident Evil and Silent Hill games.
