Who do you count as the one who made the game?

I always counted and looked at the publisher as the one who made the game. I don't give the developers any credit at all not even a tiny bit. For example:(I am a Nintendo fan so I am giving Nintendo game examples)

In my opinion Retro didn't make Metroid Prime 3 Corruption Nintendo did. Rare didn't make Banjo-Kazooie(1) Nintendo did. H.V.S didn't make The Conduit or Tournament of Legends Sega did. I NEVER count or look at who developed the game I look at the publisher. I won't buy any game published by Square Enix and I don't even pay attention to who developed it. Some unknown developer that I don't even know could make a game and a publisher that I like could publish it and I would still consider buying it. So...

Do you give the developer credit and if you like a developer will you buy a game by them and it doesn't matter who the publisher is? or are you like me and doesn't even look or care about who developed it?

In my opinion the publisher has the ultimate say on what goes in a game and can change whatever they want in it so I count them as making the game.
