How so? If they've made orders for 2M new consoles to fill shelves, that still counts as sold for Sony.

right so your asking us to beleive that there are 2m ps3's hanging around when is a new model is coming, how many more excuses can they possibly invent??

It could be 700k stock in retailers + 1.3M units sold and waiting for delivery. If theres a new model coming in it does make sense that there would be shortages but a discrepency in retail sellthrough and Sony financials as they haven't made delivery yet.

that still leaves 700k ps3's unaccounted for by your logic, it was 2.7m the difference.
