I only said go no larger than 37 inches as even the guys that sell the sets admit there comes a point at which the detail is not further enhanced by a bigger screen size.

This is of course dependant on your viewing distance. There used to be a chart which explained it all.

As for your 52 inch set.....perhaps you are over compensating ;)
