The guy must be talking sellthrough numbers. Which is as stated, very rare for Sony to do. It may actually be the first time.

This site tracks sold to consumers. What Stringer and Sony were reporting were shipped numbers. As was Dille's 360 figure.

Shipped numbers are what they sold told to retailers correct? Shouldn't that count as actual sales since what retailers sell goes into their own pockets? Sorry to pick your brain with all these questions.
