You need some help understanding this. He said he dislikes Halo because of the fanboys. Now, there are plenty of perfectly good reasons to dislike Halo, but hating it because of fanboys is just stupid. In fact, hating anything because some of the people who like it annoy you is immeasurably stupid. I used Ron Paul as an example because I know ssj likes him. |
Sieanr I think you are missing what he is saying. SSJ correct me if I am wrong here. He doesn't like Halo period. His dislike of the game is amplified by a bunch of fanboys telling him how great the game is when he disagrees. Its kind of like how I feel about FFVII. I don't like FFVII and I think its one of the most overrated games of all time. I hate Final Fantasy VII because a bunch of fanboys are constantly telling me how great the game is when its anything but. I didn't like FFVII before the fanboys keep touting it as the second coming Jesus, the fact that they do makes me hate it more. FFVIII is a worse game in my view that VII but when I say I dislike VII, I always get some fanboy going "how can you not like FFVII?" Then a conversation ensues in which 90% FFVII was either their first RPG or first FF game. SSJ probably has the same problem with Halo. I know that have gotten the "You don't have Halo!?" question when I owned my original X-box but since I'm not big on FPS titles the converation usually ended there. For SSJ, who seems to have been heavy into FPS's, it must be exceedingly annoying to have FPS new comers tell him how great Halo is when has been playing better FPS titles on PC for sometime.
EDIT: As for the topic, their is a one word answer for the original posters query. Deperation.
