For example, priests not being able to marry or have sex. People are against that now, even though it's not in the bible.
If anything it's likely do to the politcial ramifications of homosexuality in the past being ingrained into tradition. In some ways tradition is religions worst enemy... it's like covering your hair in Islam. Not mandatory at first, something that was done to show religious piety and eventually it evolved into something that had to be done.
