Will Metroid Other M be the Metroid to sell to mainstream gamers?

no i dont think it'll sell to mainstream gamers. i think it'll only sell to metroid/team ninja fans.

i think it'll sell about 1m - 1.5m WW

i also think it wont be a huge hit critically, prob average a 85 on gamerankings/metacritic

No way, it's going to do like twice that.  Nintendo was pushing Other M harder than about any other game at E3 2009 and even flew in Sakamoto (SPD1 head, Metroid director) and Hayoshi (Team Ninja head) to do interviews... I think they're going to push it bigtime.

And I bet it does over 90 on meta.  People are thinking too small and comparing the game to the Retroids, it's more like a series reset...

i hope your right but i just cant see it.

i think most reviewers tend to take snazzy graphics into account to much, i think there's a fair few wii games that would have averaged over 90 instead of being in the 80s if they were in HD - no more heroes 2 and TvsCapcom spring to mind that came out this month. unfortunately i think a lot of gamers tend to buy into this too. i fear they'll be to busy playing HD game X to care about a new wii game.

like i said i hope your right, it looks good from what we've seen and has a lot of talent behind it.

on a side note, is there any other series thats had 2 successful series resets? or is this the first to try it?
