I would have to disagree with price not being an issue. When I go to Wal-Mart or Best buy, most of the decent movies are $25-$35.
The average consumer does not know that they can get movies much cheaper from Amazon in most cases. They go to, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Coscto, Target, or other large department stores. They see hit movies for up to $35 and then decide it is just simply too expensive when the DVD is $10 cheaper. So they skip Blu-Ray and go back to DVD unless it is a movie that they really want to see the special effects in HD. I see this happening all the time, unless the shopper is a male 20 something who is obsessed with HD movies on thier brand new TV.
