Coming up with names isn't easy (as we can see), but I do think we need a balance between something unique and different but also something that gives some insight into what the site is about. Kotaku is popular due to the Gawker network and heavy promotion, not because it is a particularly great name. |
I see what you mean. I think IGN has the perfect ballance as far as naming. It's acronym is easy to pick up on and call it by it, and at the same time it stands for something that sounds like both professional and entertaining games journalism.
