I think that It's already the present of console gaming.
Nintendo has had enormous success with the Wii and the other two consoles are already rushing to get their own motion controls out. It's just the latest step in controllers. It's being critized just like the D-Pads, analog sticks, shoulder buttons, and trigger buttons that came before but will soon be the norm.
People that don't accept motion controls are stuck in their ways and would have probably been upset when the color television came out if they were alive at the time.
