Ubisoft doing their usual price cut 1-3 months after a game releases.
This is why (with the exception of No More Heroes and Ghost Recon) I'll never buy a full priced game at release from them again.
AC2 was on sale plenty of times around the holidays anyways, but $40 is a great deal.
It's just that simple.
