No he didn't. He responded to people wondering why the review would give a high score to a game which, as he says "has no game".

My question is why would he say it "has no game" if one of his positives on the game is "spiffy gameplay" Gameplay makes a game. If one of the attractions to the game for him was that it has good gameplay, why on earth would he say it barely has a game?

When we do reviews, we sometimes put "no singleplayer?" as a downside, just to point out that this might be a problem for some people.

It's quite evident (to me) that this is something similar.

People expecting a game in the traditional sense will be put off by its weird approach to gaming (although it's merely a point&click by nature). That's why he (imho) put that as a downside.

This is correct.
