I didn't realize anyone in this thread had a financial stake in this movie and therefore had a reason to cheer its box office gross.

Avatar was a decent movie. Visually fantastic with a predictable story and characters. It also had an overbearing message that unnecessarily weighed down the movie with its heavy-handedness.

District 9 was a far better film in every respect other than visual effects.

You do realize this is a video game sales site, right? This is the primary place on the internet to gather and discuss bemoan and cheer the sales of videogames. This is the one place where cheering on a films financial success is not only acceptable, but the norm.

And yes, District 9 was the better film, but they were both great. And two great sci-fi action flicks in one year is a pretty damn lucky year for us.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.
