Not in any order...
1. It was the first "Next Gen" console out of the gate... so those who wanted to jump to the next generation could just "Jump In" (Yes, I am clever!)
2. During 2006, the 360 proved its muscle by having both Oblivion and Gears of War release to the public. These were the games that made people say "wow" when they saw them.
3. You got to finish the fight with Halo 3... which had the largest (at that time) release for a video game. Plus, Game Fuel was pretty tasty...
4. Xbox Live was expanded upon from its infancy during the Xbox days, and now it is considered by many to be the console online experience.
5. It's always been at a consumer friendly price, especially compared to the PS3.
6. While the 360 is still known as a console that's defined by its popular shooters like Gears and Halo, the system has expanded to include must have games from all genres.
7. Even though the console still struggles in Japan, it continues to fight and has provided gamers with some great Japanese developed games.
8. Xbox Live Arcade has brought a lot of neat ideas and innovation, in fact... for a while Geometry Wars was the game to play!
9. A continuation on Xbox's philosophy of "core" gaming has made a lot of gamers happy and content with a constant stream of great games to play.
