that was cracked with software about a week of it being discovered as the drive itself is a dvd drive and the wii disks are dvds with special codes on them the firmware tells the drive to not accept discs without the code. the community is fast. within one day of the last firmware that blocked homebrew instal attempts and removed homebrew there was already a work around.

Well I guess that answers my question.

I dont think it does since this was introduced with the black Wii´s and just started to show up on the white ones all the major people working with this havent found a solution so unless he is a hacker or knows one I dont think its true

this particular wii was bought about a month after the price drop. does that fall in with that or am i just lucky?

I guess you could say you are lucky but there are still lot´s of wii´s around with the old drive so it will be awhile before it becomes widespread.

what community are you apart of?
