How does this make the industry sound retarded? He is saying the top executives may look at it as a goal to beat MW2, while he and the developers are looking at it as just making their own game. Not competing with MW2. Well guess what, those are their JOBS! EA worries about sales and competition and stuff like that, while developers worry about making their game. That's how it works and that's how it's supposed to work.
