Oblivion has a lot of problems that Morrowind doesn't have. The level scaling on everything is terrible. You get no good loot until later in the game and generic bandits start wearing Daedric armor which is supposed to be rare and late game you never feel powerful unless you plan out every little thing. In Morrowind none of that is a problem. Enemies, loot and everything is all masterfully set so you can run into weak enemies in some areas and hard enemies in others and find good gear early, and you have no need to plan out leveling because you will eventually get more powerful than everything. |
Basically this.
The Elder Scrolls is yet another franchise ruined by consoles, 3 was amazing, 4 quite the opposite.
