The guys at IGN were complaining about those reviews saying that it's not very hard at all on easy and that there is no excuse for not being able to beat it on the easy difficulty setting. It's just the usual case of reviewers halfway playing a game, and not having time to investigate whether or not what they are saying is really true. which is a shame because it's a really great game, but that is the rare kind of complaint that could legitimately scare people off from buying it.
