Capcom would have to pull a 180 and really advertise MH3 in the rest of the world. So far they haven't done anything more for MH3 than they did for MH2FU, the Japanese version of which (MH2G) has outsold the Japanese MH3 by a huge margin. If the western sales of MH2FU are an indication, MH3 will never hit 2M.
That said, I have it pre-ordered for my Wii. I adore MH on the PSP. I wouldn't have tried it, if it wasn't for some Japanese-game-loving pals, however.
