First, have you fought against the Flamelurker boss in stage 2-2?

If you have already, then you need to give that boss soul to Blacksmith Ed in stage 2-1.

To give the soul to him, use the instructions that both me and EncodedNybble gave to Carl ;) 

Also, upgrading a Long Bow +7 to the Lava Bow is a great idea, it will be the best bow that you'll have until you hit 30 Dex and have made the Sticky Compound Long Bow +5 

I haven't killed Flamelurker yet.

But I have to give my future Flamelurker soul for free??? And my Hard Soul?

I don't like the idea but I gues I'll have to do it.

Don't worry, Flamelurker's soul has no other use other than to enable you the ability to make unique and prefix weapons.

For the Lava Bow and for any of the other unique weapons, you'll need to have the required demon soul and a small amount of soul (never larger than 2000 if i'm not mistaken).

Btw, can you back up Demon's Souls data?

When I did a HDD recovery when my PS3 broke down, I couldn't back up Demon's Souls data to an external HDD, but every other data was able to be backed up. 

Ask Gekkokamen, I remember him telling Nen-Suer about a method to back up Demon's Souls data, because he too lost his saved data, but due to Data Corruption.
